Clemson vs Georgia Tech-First Place-Sports Action-South Carolina News Photographers 2010

 
Bell Wins First Place

2.15.10 Columbia, S.C. – Sports Photographer Travis Bell captured first place in the sports-action category during the annual South Carolina News Photographers Pictures of the Year contest. The SCNPA is a statewide organization that includes photojournalists from across the Palmetto State. The winning photograph was captured during the Clemson-Georgia Tech football game in Atlanta.

 

 

 
Sports Photographer's Work Seen in Lowcountry Magazine

9.1.09 Columbia, S.C. - Sports shooter Travis Bell recently had work featured in Charleston magazine. Belll's images of South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia and head coach Steve Spurrier were used to preview the Gamecocks' 2009 season. The Columbia, S.C. photographer is the owner of Sideline Carolina, a sports wire service that covers USC and Clemson sports for media outlets.

 

 

 
Wedding Photographer's Image Featured on Magazine Cover

1.14.09 Columbia, S.C. - A portrait by Travis Bell is the cover photo for the latest edition of Carolina Bride magazine. The publication, which features bridal planning, fashion trends and wedding stories of local couples, is published twice a year. The image, created in the statehouse, features Columbia's Keri Johnson, a Lancaster native who was married in August.

 

 

 

Bell Documents Panthers-Bucs Broadcast for ESPN

12.17.08 Columbia, S.C. - Sports shooter Travis Bell recently served as the official still photographer for ESPN's Monday Night Football. His duties included shooting live football action, behind-the-scenes and crew members working the Carolina Panthers/Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup in Charlotte.

10.25.08 Columbia, S.C. - Sports Photographer Travis Bell is a contributor to the new South Carolina Football Vault book, produced by Whitman Publishing. The publication archives Gamecock football with photographs, artwork and memorabilia. Bell has been documenting South Carolina and Clemson college football and basketball since he was 19.

Bell Produces Poster for USC

2.13.08 Columbia, S.C. - Sports Photographer Travis Bell recently photographed a collection of Gamecock memorabilia that is being used as a poster to celebrate The University of South Carolina's 100th season. Hundreds of items were brought in by local sports historians for the photograph, including Alex English's jersey, tickets to ACC and SEC tournaments and trophies from the Frank McGuire era. ESPN Magazine Publishes Travis' Work

9.19.07 Columbia, S.C. - Sports Photographer Travis Bell has work in the most recent edition of ESPN The Magazine. The image is of Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden. Gordon seeks to help children and their families gain their own victories over chronic and often debilitating illnesses through the work of The Jeff Gordon Foundation.

 

 

 

 

Photojournalist's Work Seen in New York Times

1.19.07 Columbia, S.C. - South Carolina photojournalist Travis Bell recently had worked published in The New York Times. Bell's image of the owner of a 200-year-old apartment in Charleston, S.C. accompanied a story in the national publication about living spaces in cities around the country.

 

 

Bell Invited to Serve as Adjunct Professor at Seminary

9.5.06 Columbia, S.C. - Photographer Travis Bell has been asked to teach digital photography at Columbia International University (CIU) this fall. The course serves as an elective for bible college students and will include topics such as improving composition, controlling light and telling stories with photos. CIU equips students for full-time Christian service, including the church, mission field and using their gifts in the community.

The images will be from a Make-a-Wish Foundation event with Nextel Cup driver and 4-time champion Jeff Gordon. Bell serves as the southeastern still photographer for the all-sports network.

2.2.05 Columbia, S.C. - Sports Photographer Travis Bell recently had work published in Sports Illustrated. Over a dozen of his images were used in the 2004 NASCAR year-end edition from the filming of "3-The Dale Earnhardt Story". Bell served as the official photographer for the movie.

Bell Serves as Official Photographer for ESPN's Production of Dale Earnhardt Movie

6.1.04 Columbia, S.C. - Travis Bell recently served as the official photographer for the making of "3-The Dale Earnhardt Story", a made-for-tv motion picture about the life of one of NASCAR's legends. The images he created are being used to promote the film and have been seen in Entertainment Weekly, People and TV Guide.
